When you pop into the shop, you’re most likely to encounter Shaun, Truly, or our very small (but mighty!) team of incredible booksellers.

Our Story

As many neighbors know, Booksweet inhabits the same space where the beloved community shop Bookbound operated for 8 great years. When Bookbound owners Peter and Meghan announced that they were ready to move on to their next great adventure, longtime Bookbound readers Truly and Shaun were not ready to say goodbye to their favorite shop. Instead, they followed a lifelong dream and in August 2021, Booksweet was born.

Shaun comes to Booksweet following two decades in publishing. He is also an author — look for him in our graphic novels section. Truly comes to Booksweet following two decades in arts and culture marketing. Books, stories, and community-building have always been a central part of their relationship and their family.

The entire Booksweet team is honored, humbled, and super excited to co-author the next chapter of the shop with their community. Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here.
