Families! Join us on Friday, October 7 from 7-8 pm for a Family Book Party with Black Men Read, bringing stories of the African diaspora to our youngest readers (preK-5th grade). This event is free and open to the public. Your RSVP is very helpful to our planning!
Note: this is the LAST Family Book Party with Black Men Read at Booksweet in 2022! If you’ve been meaning to join us, mark your calendars and RSVP! We’d love to see you there.
Wait..what’s a Family Book Party?
Family Book Parties are “storytime” for kids, but better. Imagine a Reading Rainbow-like experience where every child feels seen, loved, and valued as we celebrate Black men as storytellers and community leaders.
Black Men Read Book Parties have been a staple of Washtenaw County since 2016. And if you’ve been, you know what a magical experience they can be for young readers and families. Explore the BMR website and follow @BMRKIDSCLUB on social media for more!
