This May, support Michigan Medicine’s Healing Reads fundraiser to resource their adult and pediatric psychiatric inpatient unit libraries with books and mental health resources from Booksweet. These books will enrich and support patients during their hospital stays — and throughout their healing journey. The Joseph and Karen Krantz Family Charitable Foundation is offering a $10,000 matching gift challenge as part of the fundraiser during the month of May in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. All books purchased from the Giving Tree will be distributed to school libraries, community centers, and shelters throughout Washtenaw County by Black Men Read volunteers. BMR is dedicated to uplifting black men, all children, and all communities through the power of stories from the African Diaspora.
