On Friday November 12, 2021 from 8-9 pm, join us for a hilarious trip down memory lane with readings from Children’s Books of Yesteryear to adults — with an improvised side of salty commentary.
November’s Grown Folks Salty Storytime event offers a wry nod to the holiday season through stories that center eating and food. Holidays are a time for weird 1960s jello salad recipes, feigned enthusiasm for gifted fruit cakes, and big helpings of Tofurkey served with a side of good intentions and wild optimism. It’s cringe. It’s great. And it’s funny. Come laugh it off with us!
Our host for the event, educator, historian, author, and funny lady Patti Smith, will be joined by an incredible roster of celebrity readers, including:
- Amy Balzer-Pemberton, owner of Design with Aim and Clever Creations by Amy
- And more readers TBA soon!
Audience members are encouraged to bring a childhood book (questionable or otherwise!) for their chance to share with the group. This is an after-hours event for grown folks (18+).
This after-hours event will take place indoors, so masks are required, regardless of vaccination status. Proof of vaccination status is needed at the door for entry. Tickets are limited and RSVPs are required.
It’s gonna be fun. Hope to see you there!
