DESCRIPTION:About the Event\nWe’ve teamed up with Libro.fm and Silent Book Club to host a Banned Books Read-In in protest of censorship. Bring your favorite banned book or shop our banned books table and then spend some time in the store reading your book. After some silent reading time\, we’ll discuss ways we can take action against book banning together and share resources. \nAttendees will receive a free audiobook copy of Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Book from Libro.fm! \nWhile we will have water and light refreshments (including gluten-free and nut-free options)\, Booksweet is located in The Courtyard Shops\, filled with excellent dining options. Food and drinks are totally welcome at the meet-up; don’t feel shy about sipping boba while we read! \nAbout Banned Books Week\nBanned Books Week was launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in libraries\, bookstores\, and schools.
