We love A2SF (or the Ann Arbor Summer Festival for newcomers to the fun!) and we love our friends and partners at Black Men Read!
On Saturday, June 24 from 5-8 pm, Booksweet and Black Men Read will bring a BMR Book Party to the A2SF KidZone tent for a super special A2SF Storytime! This event is FREE and open to the public. Donations to A2SF and to Black Men Read are always appreciated.
Book Parties with Black Men Read (BMR) are always a blast! BMR brings stories of the African diaspora to our youngest readers and celebrates Black men as storytellers, readers, and community leaders. Booksweet is excited to partner with BMR for a super special Summer Fest Storytime!
At the start of each hour, from 5-7 pm, kids will enjoy a new reader from the BMR Reader Corps. We’ll also do a fun craft together and have some wiggle break fun too. Booksweet will be on-site with a little pop-up shop, selling all of the books featured at the event.
