THIS BANNED BOOK CLUB GATHERING TO DISCUSS TONI MORRISON’S THE BLUEST EYE IS A RESCHEDULED EVENT, ORIGINALLY SET TO TAKE PLACE IN APRIL.
Hosted by Shaun Manning, local author and co-owner of Booksweet, this monthly conversation for teens and adults explores the themes, characters, cultural context, and personal resonance of books banned from public school libraries and curriculums in the United States.
Booksweet will donate 10% of the profits from Banned Book Club reads to the ACLU as part of our annual Banned Books Week celebrations in September.
This Banned Book Club conversation will be on Friday, August 5 from 8-9 pm at Booksweet to discuss Toni Morrison’s novel, The Bluest Eye.
